The Citroen Basalt has been launched on our shores from Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It is the French carmaker’s first SUV-coupe in India and it’s all set to take on the budget-friendly variants of popular compact SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Bookings are open for the SUV-coupe, which is available in three different variants: You, Plus and Max. In this article, we take you through what each of these variants come packing with:

The Citroen Basalt retails from Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom), and while the prices for the top-spec variants are not yet announced officially, the configurator did reveal that the top-end Max turbo-petrol automatic variant was priced at Rs 13.57 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with lower to mid-spec variants of compact SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. It will also take on the upcoming ICE-Tata Curvv, which is set to be launched on September 3, 2024.
