A new and updated supersport and a streetfighter, here’s what Ducati had unveiled

Ducati Unveils At EICMA 2024

Ducati had quite a few surprises for us at EICMA 2024, with the brand unveiling the newest Ducati Streetfighter V2 and the new Ducati Panigale V2. Both bikes have undergone a lot of changes in terms of design, performance and underpinning. Here’s a brief overview.

Starting off with the design changes. The new Ducati Panigale V2 has undergone a few interesting changes, such as the addition of a sharper and sleeker looking headlight section along with changes to the fairings. The bike now comes with more angular lines and a passive ventilation system as well.

The rear has also undergone a few changes, and instead of the underbelly exhaust like the current model, the new one gets a dual undertail exhaust setup which looks quite sporty.

The Ducati Streetfighter V2 has undergone a lot of similar changes, and now manages to distinguish itself better with a proper streetfighter identity. It also gets the same undertail exhaust setup as well.

The engine used on both bikes is an all new 890cc, liquid-cooled, V2 engine. This new engine produces 120PS at 10,750rpm and 93.3Nm at 8,250rpm, which is a drop of 35PS and 10.7Nm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter.

Underpinnings wise, the base variants of both the bikes get fully-adjustable a 43mm Marzocchi inverted fork and a KYB monoshock. The S variants get a fully adjustable 43mm inverted fork and monoshock from Ohlins.

Both bikes roll on 17-inch alloys, with 120-section font and 190-section rear Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres. Braking duties are taken care of by dual 320mm front disc brakes with Brembo Monobloc M50 calipers and a single 245mm rear disc.

Both the bikes come with a 5-inch TFT instrument console. In terms of electronic riding aids, the bikes have three riding modes: Road, Road Pro and Track which modulate throttle response and ABS intervention. Along with this, the bike will offer cornering ABS, traction control, and wheelie control.

Currently the Ducati Panigale V2 is sold at an ex-showroom price of Rs 20.98 lakh, whereas the Streetfighter V2 comes to around Rs 18.50 lakh (both ex-showroom). We expect both the bikes to be launched in India, sometime in 2025.
