Hero MotoCorp is aiming to tackle the highly competitive sporty 125cc scooter segment with the Xoom 125R. Here are its highlights:

It’s important to note that Vikram S Kasbekar, the executive director and head - global product planning mentioned at the unveiling event that the two scooters are ‘near production ready’ so a formal launch isn’t too far away. Hero is yet to give more details about the full specifications of its products unveiled at the show.
Apart from the two scooters, Hero MotoCorp also unveiled a few concepts during the presentation like the 2.5R Xtunt concept, which is built for stunt riding and gets a liquid-cooled engine, likely a 250cc unit based on the Hero Karizma XMR. The manufacturer’s future motorcycles might get this particular liquid-cooled engine in the coming years. The concept even features active aero tech along with ‘Follow me drone’ functionality. Other noteable bits include a trellis frame, inverted fork, gas-charged monoshock at the rear, and disc brakes at both ends.
Also showcased were two more electric concepts under the Vida brand: Lynx and Acro. The Lynx is an electric dirtbike with a sharp and sleek true-blue dirtbike design, possibly a result of its partnership with Zero Motorcycles. The USP of this concept is that it weighs just 82kg. The Acro is an electric off-roader built for kids, complete with a three-point adjustable frame, ensuring it can fit kids from ages 3-9 years.
The Vida V1 Pro was also present at EICMA 2023 and Hero MotoCorp announced that it will arrive in Europe & UK, and that it’ll also come in a Coupe variant, which is basically a single-seater variant. The manufacturer had mentioned the e-scooter’s versatility when the Vida V1 Pro was launched in India last year.
