The Citroen C5 Aircross facelift will debut in India next month. According to our sources, it will be a pricier offering with a better equipment package, costing between Rs 37 lakh and Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom).
It’ll continue to rival the Hyundai Tucson, Volkswagen Tiguan and Jeep Compass SUVs.
The facelifted C5 Aircross will move further upmarket than the existing SUV.

Expect the facelifted SUV to come at a premium of around Rs 5 to 6 lakh depending on the variant. Note that these are indicative prices; the full price list will be revealed upon its Indian launch.
For the extra money, you will get a slew of new features. It’ll be equipped with advanced driver assistance and active safety features (ADAS) that aren’t offered on the existing C5 Aircross in India. The Highway Driver Assist is a Level 2 system that offers adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go function, lane keeping assist and forward collision prevention among other features.
On the outside, it features a sleek new front fascia, with new dual-element LED DRLs and a pair of parallel light strips that span the entire width of the front grille.
The profile view is largely familiar and so is the rear fascia with its funky new taillight design and dual exhaust exits below the bumper.
Inside, the SUV will get a redesigned centre console with a larger 10-inch touchscreen unit (the current C5 has a laggy 8-inch screen) with integrated climate controls. In addition, the updated 12.3-inch driver’s display can now display ADAS info and navigation. Advanced Comfort seats and Progressive Hydraulic Cushion suspension will be carried from the pre-facelift C5 Aircross. Massaging front seats offered in select overseas markets may be offered on the facelifted C5 here, too.
The facelifted C5 Aircross will use the same 2-litre, turbo-diesel engine as the existing SUV. It’s tuned for 177PS and 400Nm currently and works with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
