With the KTM RC Cup trials officially on, the Austrian bikemaker is also looking to launch a full suite of official riding gear for its fans in India. Sadly, this is not the same high-end stuff you’d find retailing on KTM’s international markets but more affordable, and more importantly durable, options in partnership with domestic brands.
KTM will be retailing accessories and gear such as helmets, jackets, pants and gloves which will be suitable for daily use and mild touring. KTM helmets will be made in partnership with Axor, a brand owned by India’s Vega Helmets. Hence, these lids will be ISI certified, keeping the orange brigade on the good side of the law. Axor also make helmets with double-D ring locking mechanism, qualifying them for track use.
Axor helmet Price- Rs 4,900 onwards
The rest of the stuff like jackets, pants and gloves will be made by Indian gear maker Biking Brotherhood. Biking Brotherhood too has a range of affordable track-use gear and this partnership could prove useful in encouraging more newbies to buy into the sport.
Biking Brotherhood Jackets Price- Rs 8,500
Biking Brotherhood Pants - Rs 7,500
Biking Brotherhood Boots - Rs 10,900
KTM is likely to retail its official gear and apparel in their showrooms and on their website
