Mercedes-Benz has commenced bookings for the EQA electric SUV, ahead of its launch on July 8, 2024. The EQA, which is based on the GLA, will be the German carmaker’s entry-level electric SUV offered on our shores. If you fancy the EQA, then this report is for you as we have exclusively sourced its variant, colours and specifications ahead of its introduction.
The Mercedes-Benz EQA will be offered in a single EQA 250+ variant in India. Internationally, it also comes in 300 4MATIC and 350 4MATIC variants.
The EQA will be available in 8 colour options to choose from: Polar White, Night Black, Cosmos Black, Mountain Grey, High-tech Silver, Spectral Blue, Manufaktur Patagonia Red Metallic and Manufaktur Mountain Grey Magno. For the interior, you only get a grey color.
The EQA gets plenty of modern features and is loaded with all the latest tech which you would require and expect from a luxury EV. It comes with dual 10-inch displays consisting of the touchscreen infotainment system and digital driver’s display, which will have EV-specific graphics. Apart from the dual displays, it also gets dual-zone climate control, a Burmester surround sound system, keyless entry, a head-up display, gesture control, a panoramic sunroof, powered front seats, and 64-colour ambient lighting.
Safety is taken care of by 7 airbags, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors and a host of ADAS features.
The EQA SUV will be sold in India with a 70.5 kWh battery pack teamed with a single front-wheel drive motor producing 190 PS and 385 Nm. The SUV will offer a WLTP-claimed range of up to 560km. It manages to do a 0-100 sprint in 8.6 seconds and has a top speed of 160 kmph.

The Mercedes-Benz EQA is expected to retail at around Rs 69 lakh (ex-showroom), and will compete against the Volvo XC40 Recharge, Kia EV6, Volvo C40 Recharge and BMW iX1.
