  • New XL6 can be unofficially booked at select dealerships.
  • Updates to be limited to a revised grille and dual-tone alloy rims.
  • Inside it will feature the new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system from Baleno.
  • Will get a revised 1.5-litre petrol engine, paired with a new 6-speed torque converter.

Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the facelifted XL6 on April 21. And if you had your eyes set on one, select dealers have commenced unofficial bookings for the people mover. Like before, the XL6 is likely to be offered in two trims (Zeta and Alpha) and will be retailed via Maruti’s more premium Nexa outlets. Plus, it will get the same upgrades as the upcoming 2022 Ertiga

Like the 2022 facelifted Ertiga, upgrades are likely to be minor and limited to revised grille inserts and LED headlights. Also, earlier spy shots have confirmed that the people mover will feature dual-tone alloy rims. The rest of the MPV seems to remain largely unchanged.

Maruti’s new 7-inch Smartplay Pro infotainment system that debuted on the 2022 Baleno should make its presence felt in the updated XL6. It features a revised user interface and gets connected car tech (telematics only). The rest of the feature list will be similar to the outgoing model and you can read about it in our in-depth first drive review

The XL6 will feature the revised 1.5-litre petrol engine, which now gets Dual VVT, paired with a mild-hybrid technology. A 5-speed manual transmission will be offered as standard. However, the Ertiga is set to get a 6-speed torque converter automatic and the same should be offered in the XL6.

These upgrades mean the XL6 could command a premium over the current model that starts from Rs 10.14 lakh (ex-showroom). The MPV will renew its rivalry with the Mahindra Marazzo, Kia Carens, and the soon-to-be-launched facelifted Ertiga.
