Facelifted Tata Safari spied testing again.
New spy shots reveal new 19-inch alloy wheels.
A test mule with the 18-inch alloy wheels was also papped.
Other design revisions include vertically stacked LED headlamps with revised front and rear bumpers.
Tata could debut the 1.5-litre T-GDI petrol engine with the facelifted Safari.
Launch expected in 2024.
The burning anticipation for the facelifted Tata Safari is real and is being further fuelled by the spy shots, which keep surfacing from time to time. The SUV has gotten papped yet again, revealing a new design for the alloy wheels which are now 19-inches, bigger than the 18-inch alloys on the current model, and they look really dapper.
Although it won’t be groundbreaking, we know this facelift won’t be just a mid-life refresh as previously spotted test mules suggest quite a few revisions. For starters, the front will sport vertically stacked LED headlamps along with a possible connected LED DRL spanning the bonnet’s width. Slight changes to both the front and rear bumper are expected, while the side profile should be almost identical to the outgoing model, save for these new 19-inch alloy wheels.
New connected LED tail lamps with Audi-like dynamic turn indicators were seen at the rear of a test mule as well.
Inside the facelifted Safari, you can expect some minor revisions, like a Land Rover-inspired gear lever for the automatic trims. We expect it to carry over the features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 7-inch fully digital driver’s display, automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, and ventilated front and middle (only 6-seater) row seats as it is from the outgoing model, along with a few new creature comforts.

Six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control and an updated suite of ADAS features, including adaptive cruise control, should make up its safety kit.
As for its engine options, we expect the Safari to continue with its 170PS 2-litre diesel engine paired with a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission. However, Tata’s new 1.5-litre T-GDI turbo-petrol engine that debuted at Auto Expo 2023 could also be one of the options on offer, paired with a DCT.

The facelifted Safari is bound to carry a steeper price tag over the outgoing model, which retails from Rs 15.65 lakh (ex-showroom). It could arrive sometime in 2024 and will continue to be a rival to the likes of the MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV700 and Hyundai Alcazar.
