Royal Enfield bikes have always been a great canvas for custom motorcycle builders worldwide, and the Interceptor 650 seems to be the latest muse for Germany’s Crooked Motorcycles. However, instead of building eye candy that would never leave the showroom, the company has built bolt-on ‘RoyalSeries’ kits.
Royal Enfield’s retro roadster can be tastefully converted into a scrambler with the ‘Gravel’ kit and the ‘Street’ kit turns the Interceptor into a sleek cafe racer, all without modifying the chassis of the motorcycle.
The ‘Gravel’ kit comes with a Bates Style LED Headlight, a bobbed, high-rise fender, custom number plate holder, with the LED indicators and instrument console sourced from Motogadget. Crooked Motorcycles has also designed a unique loop that fits right onto the subframe, and houses an integrated custom LED tail light. Furthermore, the loop also incorporates a frame for mounting luggage which is also available for purchase.
The kit has more than just cosmetic bits. Crooked Motorcycles has thrown in fully adjustable YSS dual shock absorbers and Hattech-sourced exhaust system.
The ‘Street’ kit too offers the same suspension and exhaust system, but gets its own unique parts including an Alcantara-finish seat and a 3D-printed rear cowl. There’s also ABM-sourced clip-on handlebars.
Crooked Motorcycles sells individual parts and the complete kits too. And if you want to commission a complete build, that will set you back by an equivalent of Rs 13.6 lakh and Rs 14.46 lakh for the ‘Gravel’ and ‘Street’ respectively. The build cost includes the cost of a new Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 which retails for an equivalent of Rs 5.85 lakh.
