Attention, all you KTM fanboys, for here’s something to get your mondays off to an exciting start. The orange brand has announced the revival of its RC Cup amateur racing series in India for all KTM owners, slated to begin from January 2023 until March 2023. The company will hold regional rounds across eight cities – Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Chennai, Coimbatore, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata.
Select winners from each of these cities will then race at the Madras International Circuit in Chennai. The bike used for this will be the recently launched KTM RC 390 GP Edition. Former MotoGP racer and current KTM Test and Development rider, Jeremy McWilliams, has been announced as the race director for this series, with seven-time Indian National Motorcycle Racing Champion, Emmanuel Jebaraj, also supporting the series.
The top three winners of the KTM RC Cup India will get to visit KTM’s HQ in Austria to train with the brand’s race experts. They will also get to closely interact with KTM Factory Racing athletes and attend a MotoGP race.
Registrations for the regional qualifiers of the KTM RC Cup will begin soon, so stay tuned to this space. How excited are you about this racing series? Let us know in the comments below.
