October, being a festive month, sees a lot of ka-ching, and this is evident in the premium bike segment too. The Honda CBR650R, which comes at a premium price tag, has replaced the Kawasaki Z900, a value-for-money proposition, to take the top slot this month. There's no ignoring Honda's low running costs and the smooth inline-four experience of the CBR650R has helped its cause.
The Kawasaki Z650RS makes an entry into this list, selling the same number of units as the Z900, and we are not surprised considering this bike’s uber cool looks and sweet handling. What is impressive is that the RS outsold the standard version by a massive 31 units. We had a blast riding this bike, and here’s the review of the Z650RS.
The Suzuki Hayabusa, too, continues to remain a popular choice amongst enthusiasts. After all, it’s still among the fastest bikes in the world, and yet will neither be too demanding to ride daily nor burn a hole in your pocket. And in the penultimate spot is the only non-Japanese bike on this list – the Triumph Tiger 900 – a popular adventure tourer, available in multiple variants.
