With CNG becoming an increasingly popular choice, customers now have a wide range of choices when it comes to picking up eco-friendly offerings. Previously, factory-fitted CNG options were the forte of only select car models, and that too in selected variants. But all of that has changed now, with manufacturers offering CNG options in more models as well as feature-loaded variants. Here are the five best CNG models that went on sale in 2023.
This popular sub-4m SUV, which is one of the few CNG offerings in its segment, comes with a 1.5-litre motor rated at 88PS and 121.5Nm in CNG mode. Some of the features on the Brezza CNG include a sunroof, cruise control, wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, engine start-stop button, automatic climate control and alloy wheels.

The 2023 Tata Altroz iCNG, launched this year, comes with a unique twin-cylinder technology. Compared to conventional single-tank layouts that occupy the full boot space, Tata has used two cylinders that allow the car to have usable boot space. Another clever instance is the spare tyre placement. The Altroz iCNG’s spare tyre is mounted under the car for added convenience.
