The last week was filled up with launches, reveals and new spy shots. During the same period, a few carmakers have also revealed their long-term future plans in India. Moving on, Google has also previewed a cool new feature for its very popular Maps application.
Here’s a brief rundown of all important news headlines of the week:
Korean carmaker Hyundai has officially revealed the design of its upcoming Punch-rivalling micro SUV, the Exter. With the reveal, the carmaker has also started accepting reservations for the Exter. Skoda has launched the updated 2023 version of its flagship SUV, the Kodiaq, which now has a BS6 phase II compliant engine. The updated SUV also gets a few “Simply Clever” feature add-ons and is slightly more efficient than before.
Kia has introduced a new limited-run special edition variant of the Sonet, named “Aurochs”. It gets a few cosmetic tweaks which include some bright orange bits on the subcompact SUV. It’s based on the Sonet’s mid-spec trim. You can read more about this edition including its price by clicking here.

The facelifted Kia Seltos has been spotted once again, and it is expected to make its India debut later this year. This time around, the test mule was seen with a significant feature which we all love, so click here to know what it has got.
MG has outlined its future plans in India for the next five years, which includes the launch of 4-5 new vehicles in India, mostly EVs. On the other hand, Hyundai has also announced its long-term roadmap in India for the next 10 years, with a major focus on electric vehicles. Both manufacturers have intended to expand their production capacity in the country.

The carmaker has elevated the driving experience of the 2 Series Gran Coupe with the new M Sport Pro variant, which comes with a new feature specific to this top-end trim. Along with this, BMW has also introduced X3’s sportier variant with the suffix “M40i”, which makes the SUV more powerful and meaner.
