Mahindra had sold 10,702 units of the XUV 3XO in May, with the petrol variants outselling the diesel variants (inclusive of XUV400 EV).

Bookings for the XUV 3XO have soared up since then and so has the waiting period that has gone up significantly. Notably, New Delhi, Pune and Chennai get a waiting period of 2.5 months. However, cities like Noida, Jaipur, Indore, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad have a waiting period of at least 3-4 months. Customers in major metro cities like Mumbai and Bangalore might have to wait up to 5 months to get their Mahindra XUV 3XO delivered, depending on the variant they choose.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO is basically the facelifted version of the XUV300. With a completely overhauled exterior and interior, it is equipped with few segment first features which increase its value proposition in the segment.
It is loaded with tech up to the brim including a 10.25-inch infotainment system with wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with Mahindra’s Adrenox connected car tech, a premium 7-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, dual zone automatic climate control unit, wireless phone charging and a segment first panoramic sunroof.
For utmost safety, it is equipped with 6-airbags, ABS with EBD and all four wheel disk brakes as standard across the line-up. Additionally, it comes with electronic stability control, 3-point seatbelts with reminders for all occupants, ISOFIX child seat mounts, 360 degree surround view camera with parking sensors and ADAS features like adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance system, blind spot detection and emergency braking.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO is offered in three different powertrain options. It gets a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine producing 110 PS and 200 Nm, a 1.2-litre turbo petrol T-GDI (direct injection) producing 130 PS and up to 250 Nm, and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine producing 117 PS and 300 Nm. A 6-speed manual transmission is offered across all the three engine options with the option of a 6-speed AMT for the diesel engine and a 6-speed torque converter automatic for the petrol engines.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO is offered in 9 broad trims to choose from. A total of eight different colour hues are offered in the XUV 3XO and its price ranges from Rs 7.49 lakh to Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom). It rivals other subcompact SUVs like the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue and the Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
