The off-roader is available in two variants only, both with the option of a manual or automatic transmission

The Maruti Jimny is the hottest and newest off-roader on the block. Revealed at the Auto Expo, the SUV is still yet to get its pricing, but order books have already opened. So if you’re looking to book one and are confused which variant to pick, then this article is for you.

First, let’s get the basics out of the way. Maruti offers the Jimny in two variants: Zeta and Alpha. Both trims get the same 1.5-litre petrol engine with an output of 104PS and 134Nm. The engine is paired to a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic, with standard four-wheel drive, and both the gearboxes can be had irrespective of the trim chosen.
