The new-generation Honda Amaze will be launched on December 4, 2024
It will get a fresh design, including new styling elements
Expected to get an updated interior design with new features
Likely to continue using the existing 1.2-litre NA petrol engine
There is good news for Honda fan boys! The Japanese carmaker’s entry-level sedan, the Amaze, will be getting a new-generation model in India and is all set to debut on December 4, 2024. This will be a proper upgrade for the Amaze over the outgoing generation, which was launched in 2018.
Honda has only given us a glimpse of the Amaze’s exterior till now and the more significant details have not been revealed yet. However, here’s what you can expect from the new-gen model of the Amaze:
As per the official teaser, the new Amaze will get a redesigned fascia featuring a sharper nose and a redesigned grille that looks similar to the new Accord that is sold in foreign markets.
The LED headlights have been made sleeker than before, with the LED DRL being placed above the main headlamp. The bumper has also been given a more aggressive look!
The teaser did not reveal the side and rear profiles, but we expect Honda to introduce a new design for the alloy wheels and tweaks to the LED tail lights and the rear bumper as well. Chances are that Honda could launch it with some new colour options as well!

Coming to the interior, it could get a revised dashboard design and layout, while continuing with the dual tone theme. In terms of features, we expect Honda to offer a sunroof, a larger touchscreen infotainment system (around 9-inch) that supports both wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay, a semi-digital driver’s display, auto IRVM, automatic climate control, electric ORVMs, a wireless phone charger, keyless entry, and cruise control.

Passenger safety will likely be taken care of by 6 standard airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, a rear parking camera with sensors, ISOFIX mounts, and hill hold assist.
While there is no official confirmation, the new Amaze is likely to be powered by the same 90PS/110Nm 1.2-litre petrol engine. Transmission options should be the same 5-speed manual transmission and a CVT.
We expect Honda to offer the new Amaze at a slight premium over the current model which retails between Rs 7.20 lakh and Rs 9.96 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue its rivalry with the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor and Maruti Dzire.
