[UPDATE: Hero has launched the Karizma XMR in India. It looks muscular, attractive and packs a punch! Check it out here]

Do you know the “Guess the Pokemon” quiz? Well, we have been doing our own rendition of it  — “Guess the Hero Bike” — and it is fair to say that it has been quite tricky to figure out what exactly Hero’s been testing lately. However, we have cracked it with the latest spy shot. The faired Hero bike being tested is actually the upcoming Karizma XMR 210, the revival of the iconic Karizma. In fact, it was this bike that was spotted yesterday and not the Xtreme 200R.

Contrary to what was believed when the bike was first spotted in Ladakh alongside the XPulse 400, the faired bike, it turns out, is not the Xtreme 400S. Why? Well, the new spy shots reveal a different engine casing in comparison to the XPulse 400, a telescopic front fork and raised clip-on handlebars. And going by what the Karizma was, which is a sporty tourer, the test mule fits the bill perfectly.

The prototype of the upcoming bike flaunts an aggressive, fully faired front with a bulky and wide headlight, slightly resembling the Kawasaki Ninja 400. This is in stark contrast to the vertically stacked headlight in the Karizma ZMR. Along with the raised clip-ons, it also gets a contoured fuel tank and a split-seat setup along with slightly rear-set rider footpegs which should offer a sporty, yet comfortable, riding position.

The suspension setup comprises the previously mentioned telescopic fork in the front and a rear monoshock, while petal discs with axial calipers take care of the braking.

Hero recently revealed that it will revive the Karizma moniker in a modern avatar with a liquid-cooled engine. And the previous sighting of the test mule had revealed the liquid cooler on the engine, which is likely to be a 210cc unit, going by the trademarked name, possibly making around 26PS and 20Nm.

The test mule looks quite production-ready and expect it to be launched by July 2023 with an expected price tag of Rs 1.50 lakh, ex-showroom.
