[UPDATE: Hero has launched the Karizma XMR in India. It looks muscular, attractive and packs a punch! Check it out here]
Hero Karizma XMR 210 has been spied once again in heavy camouflage, and the test mule looks almost production-ready. Hero’s revival of the iconic moniker has been testing frequently on Indian roads indicating that the launch is pretty close. But before that, here’s all you need to know about the bike.
Similar to the older Karizma ZMR, the upcoming bike too features a fully faired design language with a sharp fairing which is also quite sporty. The LED headlight is slightly reminiscent of the Xtreme 200S, which is one large unit with integrated LED DRLs and indicators.
Increasing the sporty appeal of the bike are the high rise fuel tank and a split seat setup. Despite the split seat, the saddle looks pretty comfy. Despite the sporty appeal, the raised clip-on handlebars and mid-rear set footpegs should offer a less aggressive stance like the KTM RC 200 and Yamaha R15 V4.

Powering the Karizma XMR 210 will be a 210cc liquid-cooled engine (a first from Hero) likely making 25PS and 22Nm, similar to the Bajaj Pulsar RS200.
With a telescopic fork and monoshock suspension setup, the underpinnings seem to be quite humble. On the other hand, the petal discs on both ends with axial callipers are new. Oh, and the bike seems to get dual-channel ABS, a first for Hero MotoCorp.
To sum up, the upcoming Hero Karizma XMR 210 could be a game-changer product for Hero and stays quite true to the iconic moniker. Expect it to debut somewhere around September 2023 with a sticker price of around Rs 1.75 lakh ex-showroom. It will resume its rivalries with the Pulsars, now going up against the Bajaj Pulsar RS200.
