Honda is all set to launch a new bike based on the CB350 platform which already features the CB350RS and H’ness CB350, in November this year. This was revealed at Honda’s EV plan announcement, and the upcoming bike will likely be a cruiser.
This is considering that the CB350RS is already, sort of, based on the scrambler theme, it makes more sense for the next product to be a cruiser. Going by that, we can expect it to get raised handlebars, a bigger front and a smaller rear wheel and a more relaxed riding position.
With a cruiser in its portfolio, Honda should be better equipped to compete with the Yezdi Roadster and the much popular Royal Enfield Meteor 350.
It will be powered by the same 348.36cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine making 21.07PS and 30Nm. That said, we’d love it if Honda tweaks the engine to suit the cruiser demeanour. The underpinnings will most likely stay the same – telescopic fork and dual shock absorber setup, however, we hope that it is tuned differently as well.
The Honda H’ness CB350’s DLX Pro variant costs Rs 2,12,856 (ex-showroom Delhi), so expect the upcoming bike to command a premium of around Rs 15,000.
