Quick News Highlights:

- The Honda Activa Electric has been teased once again

- This time, we’ve had a good look at the scooter’s battery packs

- The upcoming scooter has two removable packs

The upcoming Honda Activa Electric is one of the hotly anticipated electric scooters and it has been teased by the Japanese manufacturer a couple of times. Now a new teaser has dropped, giving us an idea about its battery pack.

The latest teaser has confirmed that the Honda Activa Electric will have two removable batteries. Also, the batteries can be seen being taken out of a swapping station before being inserted into the scooter, hinting that they’ll be compatible with the Honda e:Swap battery swapping network. The network is already operational at the metro stations and HPCL (Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited) petrol stations in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The manufacturer will most likely expand to the rest of the country to support mass market Activa Electric and its future offerings.

The upcoming electric scooter will be based on the recently unveiled Honda CUV e and that scooter has dual 1.3kWh capacity battery packs. So, the battery capacities of the Activa Electric will likely be similar as well. The CUV e has a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers suspension setup and the scooter has a 190mm front disc brake and a 110mm rear disc brake.

Honda recently teased the scooter’s features and from there, we got to know that it’ll be available with two instrument consoles: a TFT and an LCD unit. The LCD console will most likely be available with the base variant while the top-end variant will have the TFT console. The TFT console variant will have smartphone connectivity with call and SMS alerts, navigation, and music control. Two riding modes: Standard and Sport are also available. As seen in the teaser, the Standard mode will have a range output of 104km. The LCD console has a clean layout and shows regular readouts. The riding modes are expected to be available in that variant as well.

The Honda Activa Electric will be unveiled on November 27, 2024 with the launch expected to happen sometime in 2025. The pricing is expected to be around the Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom) mark and its rivals will be the Ola S1 Air, Ather Rizta, and the Bajaj Chetak.
