Honda Activa Premium Edition Teased, Launch Soon

The new Honda Activa scooter has been teased yet again on Honda India’s social media. However, we speculated this scooter could be the Activa 7G, but instead, it will be an Activa Premium Edition. And it could also be a limited-run model. 

The two new teasers showcase a scooter that externally looks exactly like the Honda Activa 6G in terms of design. except for the fact that it sports premium matt colours including matt green, red and blue. Even the styling elements will be a bit more elegant with gold/bronze colour branding.

Powering the Activa Premium Edition will likely be the same fuel-injected, 109.51cc engine, producing 7.79PS and 8.84Nm. The frugal, reliable and fuel-efficient engine will be a good fit for this premium-edition scooter.

To make this an even more attractive offering, Honda should at least equip the scooter with an optional disc brake at the front, especially considering that its main rival, the TVS Jupiter, gets the same. We would also like to see this Activa 6G Premium get a semi-digital instrument cluster, but we think that’s rather unlikely.

It can be expected to command a premium of Rs 2,000 - Rs 5,000 over the standard model, which is priced at Rs 72,400 (ex-showroom Delhi). It goes up against the likes of TVS Jupiter and Hero Pleasure Plus.
