Hyundai Exter Announced Indian Car Of The Year (ICOTY) 2024 Award

The results of the prestigious Indian Car Of The Year (ICOTY) 2024 award have been announced. And it is the Hyundai Exter that has bagged the crown in this year’s edition. But that’s not all; ICOTY has also announced results for two other categories, namely the 2024 Premium Car Of The Year, and ICOTY 2024 Green Car Of The Year.

This year we witnessed the introduction of plenty of electric cars and as seen in the list, we have models ranging from ultra compact to full-blown luxury offerings. And out of the seven contenders, it is this car that has bagged the Green Car Of The Year Award:

Moving things a scale up, the premium end of the automobile segment saw plenty of action with the introduction of many new cars. Each one of them here brought plenty of innovative upmarket features that pampered their owners. And this is the car that the jury has selected to be the winner:

Selecting The Winner 

This award stands as a testament to the pinnacle among new cars and the ultimate one is determined by the expertise (and votes) of the jury members. The voting process is conducted based on criteria such as price, fuel efficiency, design, comfort, safety, performance, practicality, technical innovation, value for money, and most importantly, suitability for Indian driving conditions. This comprehensive evaluation ensures that the chosen vehicle not only excels but also resonates deeply with the unique demands of Indian roads.

The Jurors 

The selection of winners in each category are determined by a panel of jury members comprising automotive journalists and editors from major Indian automotive publications and media outlets. Among these influential jurors was Ameya Dandekar, editor,  Zigwheels, whose expertise and insights contributed to the evaluation process.
