Along with its cabin, Hyundai has given us a peek at its features list and certain dimension figures of the SUV

  • Hyundai Exter is slated to launch on July 10.
  • Its cabin design is identical to the Grand i10 Nios, save for the all-black hue.
  • Features include 8-inch touchscreen infotainment, sunroof and wireless phone charger.
  • Standard safety kit includes six airbags, electronic stability control and ISOFIX.
  • Its wheelbase and height is rated at 2450mm and 1631mm, respectively.

You’ve seen the Exter’s exterior. You’ve even seen its interior through a set of leaked images. Today, Hyundai has officially unveiled the interior along with a few other crucial details of its upcoming micro SUV ahead of its July 10 launch. The Exter is Hyundai’s answer to the Tata Punch and will slot below the Venue in the Korean marque’s lineup.

Interior Design And Layout

The Exter SUV’s interior is exactly a xerox copy of the Aura and Grand i10 Nios’ cabin, which ain’t a bad thing at all. One form of differentiation comes in its colour scheme, where the micro SUV gets an all-black hue with splashes of green for contrast. The front seats also have bold ‘Exter’ branding, likely to remind you of the name of the micro SUV you’re sitting in!

The only change between the Exter and its hatchback sibling comes in the form of a digitised driver’s display instead of the Nios’ analogue dials with a multi-info display.

This Brings Us To The Features List

In typical Hyundai fashion, the Exter comes loaded to the gills with features. Highlights include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected car tech, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless phone charger, automatic climate control, a sunroof, cruise control, auto headlights and rain sensing wipers.

On the safety front, it gets six airbags as standard, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, electronic stability control and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
