First Hyundai SUV to get the N Line treatment in the country.
Gets a sole 120PS/172Nm 1-litre turbo-petrol mill paired to a 7-speed DCT.
Design revisions include sportier elements like red accents, 16-inch alloys and red brake calipers.
Mechanical changes include tweaks to the suspension and steering setup for a dynamic driving experience.
Can be specced in two variants: N6 and N8.
Hyundai’s take on a sportier derivative of the Venue is here in the form of the Venue N Line. Launched with prices starting from Rs 12.16 lakh (ex-showroom), it is the second N Line offering by the carmaker in India.
Hyundai Venue N Line Variants |
Prices (ex-showroom) |
N6 DCT |
Rs 12.16 lakh |
N6 DCT Dual Tone |
Rs 12.31 lakh |
N8 DCT |
Rs 13.15 lakh |
N8 DCT Dual Tone |
Rs 13.30 lakh |
The Venue N Line can be had in two trims: N6 and N8, with the option of monotone or dual-tone exterior shades. The dual-tone N8 variant sits at the top with a premium of Rs 58,000 over the standard top-of-the-line Venue SX(O) trim.
Changes on the Venue N Line are in line with the i20 N Line. Sportier elements like red accents on the bumpers, roof rails and slide cladding, a dark grille finish, 16-inch alloy wheels, dual exhaust pipes, and a rear spoiler set it apart from the standard variants. The sporty theme is followed on the inside with red stitching on the seats and a blacked-out cabin with red inserts on the AC vents.
It borrows the 120PS/172Nm 1-litre turbo-petrol engine from the standard variants. It is paired with a 7-speed DCT. While there are no changes to the powerhouse of the sub-4m SUV, it gets a few mechanical tweaks to the suspension and steering setup with disc brakes on all four wheels and a sportier exhaust note. The DCT transmission gets paddle shifters behind the wheel to add to the overall driving experience.
The features list of the Venue N Line is similar to the top-spec variants of the standard sub-4m SUV that comes with an 8-inch touchscreen, an air purifier, 4-way powered driver seat, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, sunroof, connected car tech, auto AC, push button start/stop, wireless phone charging and a cooled glovebox. It also features a dashcam, a first for the Hyundai brand in the country.
While the Venue N Line has no direct rival at the time of its launch, it will fend off competition from the upcoming Mahindra XUV300 Sportz. The standard iteration of Hyundai’s sub-4m SUV goes head-to-head with the Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Nissan Magnite, and Toyota Urban Cruiser.
