Hyundai has launched the Venue E+ variant, priced at Rs 8.23 lakh (ex-showroom). This variant is based on the base E variant, but comes with a sunroof additionally. This variant is ideal for those who want a base-spec Venue, but with a sunroof.
Introducing this variant also makes sense because those who opt for the base variants, usually add features like a touchscreen, extra speakers or ambient lighting from aftermarket sources, but adding a sunroof is not something which can be done easily.
Variant |
Price (ex-showroom) |
E |
Rs 7.94 lakh |
E+ (New) |
Rs 8.23 lakh |
S+ (Next Sunroof Variant) |
Rs 9.35 lakh |
The base-spec E variant is priced at Rs 7.94 lakh, while the E+ is offered at Rs 8.23 lakh. This means you will have to pay a premium of Rs 29,000 to get the sunroof variant. Overall, it makes the sunroof feature more affordable by Rs 1.12 lakh, which was earlier offered from the mid-spec S+ variant onwards.
Apart from the sunroof, the E+ variant comes with a semi-digital driver display, front power windows, manual AC, adjustable headrests for front and rear seats, and 60:40 split for the rear seats. It misses out on a music system, for which you will have to rely on aftermarket options.

Taking care of your safety are six airbags, 3-point seatbelts for all seats, electronic stability control (ESC), hill-start assist and ABS with EBD.
The engine available with this variant is the 1.2-litre NA petrol engine which makes 83 PS and 114 Nm. With this specific variant, you get a 5-speed manual transmission only. As you go up the variant lineup, the Venue also offers a more potent 1-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine.
The Venue is priced from Rs 7.94 lakh to Rs 13.48 lakh (ex-showroom). It competes with the Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet and the Maruti Suzuki Fronx.
