Kia has just taken the covers off the 2024 Kia Sonet facelift, ahead of its price reveal sometime in early 2024. The sub-compact SUV’s first facelift brings new styling cues inside and out, along with a few new features and nearly the same powertrain options. Without further ado, here’s what’s new on the Kia Sonet facelift in our image gallery.
While still rather familiar, Kia has worked substantially on giving the Sonet’s front a proper update. New styling cues come in the form of a revised grille, flanked by updated LED headlights with LED DRLs extending into the bumpers. It retains its muscular bonnet, but the bumper has been tweaked with slimmer fog lamps and a revised front lip.
Changes are few and far between in the profile, as the Sonet retains a similar silhouette as the outgoing model. It does get new alloy wheels, still 16-inch units though, that make up the only change from the side.

The rear has taken a page out of the Seltos’ design book, as the new Sonet now boasts a connected LED taillight setup spanning the width of its boot. The bumper has also been reworked, and the rear is probably the most distinguished part of the new Sonet.
As for the colour options, Kia is offering the Sonet in 11 exterior shades, including a new shade borrowed from the Seltos. You can check out all of its colour options here.
On the inside, the 2024 Sonet retains the outgoing model’s dashboard design. But updates have come in for the centre console which houses a revised climate control panel. The floating touchscreen system is untouched, but you do get a new 10.25-inch digital driver’s display complementing it in the driver’s binnacle. The Sonet was already laden with features. But the expansive list now also includes an ADAS suite comprising features like forward collision alert and autonomous emergency braking (AEB). A 360-degree camera has also been added alongside existing features like the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, sunroof, and Bose sound system.
Six airbags are offered as standard along with ABS, ESP, front and rear parking sensors, and electronic stability control, while a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) can be had in the higher trims.

Kia has retained the engine options for the facelifted Sonet, but the 6-speed MT has been brought back to the 1.5-litre diesel engine. The rest of the powertrain options are untouched.
A price announcement is expected sometime in early 2024 and you can expect a slight bump over the outgoing model, which was sold from Rs 7.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the Sonet will start from December 20. The 2024 Kia Sonet will rekindle its rivalry with the likes of the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, and Nissan Magnite.
