Yamaha has updated the FZ-FI V4 for 2023 and its main rival is the newly launched Bajaj Pulsar P150, here's how they stack up against each other in pictures.
For 2023, the FZ-X SI V4 features a new redesigned LED headlight and a sleek LED DRL. Apart from that the naked retains its beefy and muscular streetfighter styling as before.
The Pulsar P150 is a modernised version of the iconic Pulsar 150 and pertaining to the moniker’s legacy, this bike blurred the lines between a sporty bike and a commuter. Overall, it has a sleek and sharp design language. The P150 gets a more advanced projector headlight and looks sportier than the FZ.

Powering the FZ-S FI is the same 149cc engine producing 12.4PS and 13.3Nm; however, it can now run on E20 blend fuel, 20% ethanol and 80% petrol.
The Pulsar P150 churns out more power from its new 149.68cc engine, based on the Pulsar N160. It produces 14.5PS and 13.5Nm, making it more powerful. That said, it’s not E20-compatible.
Both run on similar underpinnings with a telescopic fork up front and a monoshock at the rear.
Braking setup is similar too, with disc brakes at both ends. Although, the P150 also gets a drum unit at the rear as an option.
In terms of features, the FZ-S FI V4 gets a multi-function LCD console with Y-Connect and Bluetooth connectivity. It sadly misses out on turn-by-turn navigation. However, it does come equipped with traction control.
On the other hand, the Pulsar P150 gets a basic semi-digital console with gear position indicator and distance-to-empty readout. Misses out on connectivity.
Lastly, the Yamaha FZ-S FI V4 flaunts a price tag of Rs 1,27,400, and the price for the P150 starts at Rs 1,16,755 (for single disc) and goes up to Rs 1,19,757 (twin disc). All in all, the Pulsar P150 offers better value for money as it is not only more affordable but is also more powerful.
