Kawasaki has launched the 2020 Ninja 1000SX BS6 in India and it is priced just as we predicted earlier. Now priced at Rs 10,79,000 (ex-showroom India), the Ninja 1000SX costs Rs 50,000 more and that gets you a cleaner motor and better features. The new motorcycle continues to be brought to India via the SKD (semi-knocked down) route. Bookings for the new Ninja 1000SX are open across all Kawasaki dealerships.

The biggest change to the design is a single exhaust end can instead of the quad exhaust setup. It still retains the twin LED headlamps and 4-way adjustable windscreen. There are two colour options on offer -- Metallic Graphite Grey/Metallic Diablo Black and Emerald Blazed Green/Metallic Carbon Grey/Metallic Graphite Grey. The Ninja 1000SX gets new features like LED turn indicators and a large 4.3-inch colour TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. It can be connected to your smartphone via the Kawasaki Rideology app.

Underpinnings remain unchanged. The Ninja 1000SX BS6 gets a fully adjustable 41mm upside-down fork and a monoshock that’s adjustable for preload and rebound damping. It gets 17-inch alloys shod with Bridgestone Battlax S22 radial tyres. Braking is via dual 300mm discs with radially-mounted calipers and a 250mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. Updates for 2020 include a thicker and wider pillion seat for better comfort. The new bike also weighs less than before thanks to the more compact and lightweight exhaust setup.

The new Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX will compete against the Ducati SuperSport S.
