Quick News Highlights:
Kawasaki India has reduced the price of its litre-class bike, the Ninja ZX-10R, by Rs 1,14,000 lakh. It is now priced at Rs 17,36,000, down from its previous price tag of Rs 18,50,000 (ex-showroom). The bike is available in 2 colours: Lime Green / Ebony / Pearl Blizzard White, and Metallic Graphite Gray / Metallic Diablo Black.
Earlier, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R was launched at Rs 17,13,000 in September 2024. Its price was then increased to Rs 18,50,000 but Kawasaki has now dropped the bike’s price to Rs 17,36,000 (ex-showroom). This makes the ZX-10R Rs 23,000 more expensive than its launch prices now.
Apart from the price cut, everything else including the engine, features and underpinnings remains the same as before. The Ninja ZX-10R is powered by the same 998cc, liquid-cooled, inline-four engine that produces 203PS and 114.9Nm. The power output increases to 213PS with the RAM air intake. It is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter.
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R has all-LED lights and features a TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity, via Bluetooth. The ZX-10R has four ride modes – Sport, Road, Rain, and Rider (Manual). It also gets a range of rider aid features like launch control, electronic cruise control and 5-level traction control.
The Ninja ZX-10R is equipped with a twin-spar cast aluminium frame. The suspension setup consists of a 43mm inverted fork with 120mm wheel travel and a rear monoshock with 115mm wheel travel. The sport bike uses 330mm twin disc brakes and 220mm single disc, with a dual channel ABS as standard. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, wrapped with a 120-section front and 190-section rear tubeless tyres.
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R competes against the other 1000cc sportbikes including the BMW S 1000 RR, Aprilia RSV4, and the Ducati Panigale V4. However, the Ninja ZX-10R undercuts all of its rivals by a huge margin, as it is the most affordable bike in the segment. Heck, it is even cheaper than the Ducati Panigale V2.
