The Kia Carens recently crossed the 50,000-bookings mark, and that too in just two months of reservations getting underway. It is currently one of the most affordable and feature-laden MPVs on sale in India, priced from Rs 9 lakh to Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It’s available as both 6- and 7-seaters, spread across five levels of trim: Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury, and Luxury Plus.

The Kia Carens gets three powertrain options: 115PS 1.5-litre petrol, 115PS 1.5-litre diesel, and 140PS 1.4-litre turbo-petrol. A 6-speed manual is standard, and the optional transmission are a 7-speed DCT (1.4-litre turbo-petrol) and a 6-speed torque converter (1.5-litre diesel). 

The Kia Carens rivals the Maruti Suzuki XL6, Mahindra Marazzo, and select variants of the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Mahindra XUV700.
