Kia Seltos Turns Three, Hits Record Milestone With 3 Lakh Sales

It’s been three years since Kia launched the Seltos as its first car in India, and just around its third birthday, it has achieved a new landmark with 3 lakh cumulative sales over the years. 

The Seltos is currently available in three broad variants, Tech Line, GT Line and X-Line. It’s offered with three engine options, 115PS 1.5-litre petrol, 115PS 1.5-litre turbo diesel and 140PS 1.4-litre turbo petrol units. A 6-speed manual gearbox is standard, the different engines get a variety of automatic options including a DCT, CVT and torque converter transmission. 

Despite being a three year old model, the Seltos is still a feature-packed offering with creature comforts such as ventilated seats, 10.25-inch touchscreen and 8-speaker Bose sound system, electric sunroof, reclining rear seats and ambient lighting.  

Moreover, it recently became the only SUV in its segment to offer six airbags across all variants, alongside standard stability control, TPMS and rear disc brakes. It’s top-spec safety features include a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, a blind view monitor and remote engine start function in the car key.

Spy shots from India and overseas tell us that a new facelifted Kia Seltos is in the works. We expect to see the updated SUV in early 2023, possibly at the Auto Expo in January. 

The Kia Seltos rivals the Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and MG Astor.
