The Kia Syros has been unveiled and it enters the sub-4-metre SUV segment in India. However, it is unlike any of the other SUVs in segments and has its own personality in almost every department, making it one of the most premium models in the class. It has a unique design language, a feature-rich cabin and multiple powertrain options. In this article, we will be comparing its specifications with that of the popular and well-equipped Mahindra XUV 3XO.
Let’s find out how these two SUVs stack up against each other!
Beginning with their sizes, both the SUVs are just under 4 metres, but vary in terms of how they are designed and have a different stance. Let’s take a look at at their dimensions in detail:

Both Syros and XUV 3XO are offered with petrol and diesel engine options. The XUV 3XO comes with two petrol engine options, both larger in size when compared to the Syros’ sole petrol engine option.
The XUV 3XO’s 1.2-litre TGDi turbo-petrol makes the most power, while its diesel engine makes the most torque among all the engine options. Both SUVs come with a 6-speed manual, but their automatic options vary as seen in the table above.
The XUV 3XO is priced from Rs 7.79 lakh to Rs 15.48 lakh (ex-showroom). The Syros will be launched with prices in January 2025 and considering its premium features package, one can expect it to start at around Rs 9.7 lakh and go all the way up to Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Syros and XUV 3XO compete with other subcompact SUVs like the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Nissan Magnite, Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet. Meanwhile, the Syros’ pricing also puts it in contention with compact SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Tata Curvv.
Stay tuned for a detailed on-road comparison between the two! Till then let us know which SUV would you rather pick based on their specifications.
