BMW Motorrad and Lego Technic have come up with something gorgeous and indulgent this holiday season. Meet the Lego Technic BMW M 1000 RR, a 1:5 scale model based on the iconic track scorcher, the BMW M 1000 RR.
While the real deal costs Rs 42 lakh (ex-showroom India), the scale model retails at a fraction but still an eye-watering USD 229.99 (around Rs 17,400). It will be available exclusively at Lego stores and its official website from January 1, 2022, and from March 1 in other global stores.
This motorcycle nut's wet dream comprises as many as 1,920 individual parts. It's as detailed and realistic as it gets. How does an inline-four engine and a fully functioning three-speed gearbox with neutral sound? And if that weren't enough, this M 1000 RR also comes with a working steering, front and rear suspension, and a gold-coloured chain drive! Topping it all off are the three different display options in the cockpit, a paddock stand, and a pit board to deliver the authentic superbike experience.
The winglets and 'M' livery on the bodywork evince painstaking attention to detail, and the general sense of accomplishment once you've finally built (and not bought) this marvel, BOY!
As its name suggests, Lego Technic is a lineup dedicated to highly technical scale models (usually vehicles) comprising hundreds and sometimes thousands of small moving parts. Do you plan to buy the Lego BMW M 1000 RR? Or do you have something else, say the Lamborghini Sian, in mind? Let us know in the comments below.
