Mahindra has ceased accepting reservations for its subcompact SUV, the XUV300. So it appears that we will soon be seeing the imminent introduction of the long-overdue facelift on the Mahindra XUV300. The CEO of Mahindra Auto disclosed this information during its investor meet and said that reservations will start up again after the facelift has been introduced.
At its investor meet, Rajesh Jejurikar, executive director and CEO (Auto & Farm sector), Mahindra & Mahindra, stated while responding to a question about waiting periods and model updates “What is going off from a numbers point of view is also 300 because we're not taking bookings on that now. So, clearly that whole thing is gone and that will come back when we come with the mid cycle refresh.”
Despite the claim that Mahindra is no longer accepting new reservations for the XUV300, certain dealerships are still accepting orders for the inventory that is currently available. Mahindra has also announced that, in order to complete the outstanding orders, it would be drastically reducing XUV300’s manufacturing for the next few months. However, that will eventually come to an end as well, as Mahindra appears to be nearing completion on the redesigned XUV300, which is anticipated to be unveiled in the upcoming months.

There will be significant design alterations made to the Mahindra XUV300 compared to the existing model, which has been in development for some time. The 2024 XUV300 will have a revised front profile with a modified grille, a new bumper, and a new lighting arrangement like the XUV700, according to the spy photos thus far. It will also have updated alloy wheels, and an connected LED taillight system is anticipated for the new back profile.
The interior is anticipated to be the same as the XUV400, albeit probably with a different colour scheme. Its interior will be updated with a new motif and a larger touchscreen infotainment system (perhaps 10.25 inches). It could be equipped with a single-pane sunroof, wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, cruise control, and a digital driver's display, among other things.
Mahindra will continue to equip it with six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system), ISOFIX child seat anchors, and a rearview camera for further safety.
The 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine (110 PS/200 Nm), 1.5-liter diesel engine (117 PS/300 Nm), and 1.2-liter TGDi turbo-petrol engine (130 PS/250 Nm) are the powertrain options Mahindra will continue to provide for it. Both a 6-speed AMT and a 6-speed manual transmission are anticipated to be used with these engines.
Expected prices for the facelifted Mahindra XUV300 start at around Rs 8.5 lakh (ex-showroom), and it will still be competitive with models such as the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Maruti Brezza.
