‘Add to cart’ saves your desired variant, engine, transmission and colour combination onto a preview page at the checkout station.
Test drives for the rest of the country to be opened by July 15.
Introductory manual prices start at Rs 11.99 lakh.
Remaining variant prices to be revealed on July 21.
When you’re trying to buy something on an online platform, having a portal for a final preview of your product with the desired combination is beneficial. Now, Mahindra’s offering just that for the new Scorpio N, as the ‘Add to Cart’ feature is now open for the SUV.
As the name suggests, ‘Add to Cart’ shows a preview of the SUV where details such as the variant, engine, transmission, drivetrain as well as the colour option are on display. There is an option to modify that combination before making a final save. Keep in mind that you can’t make the purchase after saving this configuration, as official bookings start on July 30 at 11am. That being said, there will be a two-week grace period between July 30 to August 15 to alter or change your preferred booking.
Another thing open for the Scorpio N are test drives at authorised dealerships. But unlike the ‘Add to Cart’ feature which is available pan-India, test drives will only be available in 30 cities, with a plan to expand to the rest of the country on July 15.
Currently, only the manual and 2WD variant introductory prices of the Mahindra Scorpio N have been released, with the range starting from Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Do note that these prices will be applicable only for the first 25,000 bookings. The prices for the remaining variants and 4WD options will show up on July 21. Deliveries are slated to commence from the festive season.
The Scorpio N comes in four broad trims: Z2, Z4, Z6, and Z8. The SUV now boasts a larger, more mature design philosophy. It’s also gained plenty of features including a single-pane sunroof, 12-speaker Sony sound system, wireless phone charger, and connected car tech with Alexa.
Under the hood, Mahindra offers 203PS 2-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre 132PS and 175PS diesel engine choices. 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options are available in both the petrol and 175PS diesel engines, with 4WD options limited to the 175PS diesel engine.
Mahindra will retail the Scorpio N’s predecessor alongside it, but will now call it the Scorpio Classic. The former will be an alternative to the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier and MG Hector.
