Mahindra has launched the awaited XUV 3XO, basically the facelifted XUV300, at Rs 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The subcompact SUV sports a new modern design, an upgraded cabin which is similar to that of the XUV400 EV, plentiful new features and even mechanical updates. In this report, we are going to take you through the gallery of the XUV 3XO showcasing the design, interior, features and its specifications:
The Mahindra 3XO gets a revamped design for the exterior, with a new fascia featuring a new bumper and a gloss black grille with chrome slats replacing the slatted one found in the XUX300. Flanking the grille, is a new pair of redesigned LED headlights, which adds to the overall modern appearance of the XUV 3XO.
It now gets 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and apart from that, there are no other sheet metal changes here. You get to choose from 8 colour options: white, red, orange, beige, black, grey, green and yellow.

Coming to the rear, it gets a new tailgate with connected LED taillights making it the first Mahindra to get a connected setup. Placed right below the taillights is the new ‘XUV 3XO’ badge. It also gets a silver skid plate adding a bit of contrast and the number plate housing is in the bumper. With the new elements and styling, the subcompact SUV looks modern with a dash of ruggedness.
Step inside and you will notice a new dashboard layout and cabin design, similar to that of the XUV4OO EV. The first thing you will notice is the 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, below which are the AC vents located right above the chunky looking controls for the dual-zone climate control.
It retains the same steering wheel which the pre-facelift XUV300 got, but with gloss-black inserts instead of the silver finish. Further enhancing the cabin’s feel is a segment-first panoramic sunroof which adds to the SUVs value proposition.
The upgraded cabin gets a host of new features which make the SUV more desirable than before. The features include a 10.25-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 7-speaker Harman/Kardon sound system, connected car tech, 10.25-inch driver’s display, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, push-button start/stop, and wireless phone charging.
Safety will be taken care of by Level-2 ADAS (first in its segment), 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, 3-point seatbelts with reminder for all occupants, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
The XUV 3XO gets the same engines carried over from the XUV300. The engine options include a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine generating 110 PS, a 1.2-litre T-GDI turbo-petrol engine producing 130 PS, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine making 117 PS. You get an option to pair these engines with either a manual or an automatic gearbox. The manual will be a 6-speed unit, while the automatic option will be a 6-speed torque converter for the petrol variants and an 6-speed AMT gearbox for the diesel variants.
The XUV 3XO is priced from Rs 7.49 lakh to Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom). With the introduction of the new XUV 3XO , Mahindra will look to give a tougher fight to the likes of Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
