The 6-speed DCT was paired with the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and offered in the Smart and Shine variants.
The CVT automatic is offered in the Shine, Smart and Sharp variants, and is priced from Rs 16.2 lakh to Rs 19.53 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Hector can also be specced with a 2-litre diesel engine, or a 48v mild-hybrid system for the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine.
MG Motor India continues to rejig the Hector SUV, with the latest update seeing the 6-speed DCT automatic variants being discontinued from the SUV’s lineup. This leaves the 8-step CVT as the only automatic option for the SUV which was introduced in February 2021. This axing also applies to the Hector Plus 6-seater SUV.
The DCT gearbox was paired to the 143PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine right from its launch in 2019, and was offered in the Smart and Sharp variants. It was priced from Rs 17.54 lakh to Rs 19.27 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Coming to the CVT gearbox that takes its place, it is also limited to the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine but is also offered in the Shine variant aside from the Smart and Sharp variants. The axing of the DCT has also come with a price increment. Here are the current prices:
