New Citroen C3 Variants, Engines And Power Figures Detailed Ahead Of June Unveiling

French carmaker Citroen is expected to unveil its second offering in India, the affordable C3 hatchback, later in June. A new RTO document gives us some insight into the upcoming C3’s powertrains, and we have good news! In addition to a standard 1.2-litre petrol engine, the C3 will also get a more powerful turbo-petrol engine option. It’ll be offered in Live and Feel variants.

Citroen C3 Powertrains: 

The new Citroen C3 will get petrol-only powertrains which are similar to the Puretech engines offered in Europe. 

A 5-speed manual transmission will be offered as standard, and automatic option (7-speed DCT) is expected to be available as well. Going by the RTO document, the turbo-petrol engine will likely be offered in the top-spec Feel trim level. 

How big is the Citroen C3?

We also got a look at the upcoming C3’s dimensions in the documents. It bears large-hatchback proportions with its length, width and wheelbase and stands as tall as some of its subcompact SUV rivals.
