[Update: TVS has launched the Jupiter 125 in India at Rs 73,400 onwards (ex-showroom Delhi). For the specifications, variant-wise pricing and features, read our launch story]
Recently, we told you of TVS’ plans for a new 125cc two-wheeler set for unveiling on October 7, 2021. And now, the Hosur-based bikemaker has added some more fuel to the fire, with a second, more detailed teaser on social media.
This time around, they’ve shown what looks like two DRLs, hinting at a face that more closely resembles the TVS Jupiter, which may suggest that the new offering could indeed be called the Jupiter 125. However, considering that TVS recently trademarked the name ‘Retron’, there are chances of the end result being something completely different too.
We believe the new TVS offering would be powered by the NTorq’s 125cc, single-cylinder engine, but with slight tweaks and a different engine map for a more commuter-centric riding experience. For reference, the BS6 NTorq currently puts out 9.38PS and 10.5Nm in its standard trim, but has undeniably sporty characteristics.
Moreover, TVS, being a champion when it comes to enriching the features quotient, will no doubt pack its new offering with LED illumination, a USB charger, and a digital instrument cluster.
Nevertheless, all speculations will be put to rest on October 7, 2021. So be sure to stay tuned to ZigWheels for all the latest updates.
