The Kia Carnival has been confirmed for debut at Auto Expo 2023.
It’s based on an all-new platform and features a sharp, boxy styling.
Likely to continue with 200PS 2.2-litre diesel powertrain.
Will be priced higher than the current MPV, which starts at Rs 31 lakh (ex-showroom).
Korean carmaker Kia has been a bit quiet about its upcoming lineup for Auto Expo 2023, unlike its sister company Hyundai, which has an elaborate exhibition with miniature flying taxis and AI robots planned. Now, a new video tells us that the next-generation Kia Carnival (KA4) will be present at the show, making its India debut at the event.
The next-gen Carnival is longer and slightly wider and taller than its predecessor that’s currently available in India. It bears a sharper, more striking design with straight body lines and a sleek, aerodynamic front end.
It’s all-new inside, too, with a foating dual-screen panel on the dashboard for the 12.3-inch infotainment and driver instrumentation displays. The MPV’s cabin looks lot less plasticky and more premium with features such as powered middle row captain seats and electronically operated second row doors and tailgate. It should also get a safety update with the addition of driver-assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, forward collision avoidance and blind spot monitoring.
As before, the Kia Carnival gets a dual-panel sunroof, middle row sliding seats and optional infotainment screens for the middle row passengers.
Apart from the upcoming flagship MPV, we might also get to see the Kia EV6 GT, which is the performance-oriented version of the EV6 electric vehicle. The EV9 concept electric SUV and special editions of the Seltos, Carens and Sonet could also be showcased at Auto Expo 2023.
