Cosmetic enhancements include red accents on the front grille, cladding, wheel arches as well as graphics around the C-pillar.
Cabin additions will include a wireless phone charger and ambient mood lighting from the optional Tech packs.
Will be offered in both 1-litre naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol engines with manual and CVT gearbox options.
Should be priced at a slight premium over the XV trim it is based on.
Nissan is all set to add more options to the Magnite sub-4 metre SUV as the carmaker has announced a Red Edition. Bookings are now open and will go on sale in India on July 18. It’ll be based on the second from top XV variant. This comes off the back of the SUV achieving a commendable milestone of over 1 lakh bookings and more than 50,000 deliveries since its launch in December 2020.
So what’ll be special in the Magnite Red Edition? Well as the name suggests, we’re getting splashes of red on the front grille, front bumper cladding, wheel arches and body side cladding. There’ll also be a cool set of graphics that run from the A-pillar to the C-pillar.
Currently, the XV trim comes with a host of features including an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, voice recognition, rear-view camera with display guidelines, an illuminated glove box as well as a 7-inch TFT driver’s display. Some of the additional kit on the Red Edition includes a wireless phone charger and ambient mood lighting which are already part of the optional tech pack.
The Magnite Red Edition will be offered in all engine combinations onboard the standard model. They include a 72PS 1-litre naturally aspirated or a 100PS 1-litre turbo-petrol engine option. Both engines get a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, while the turbo-petrol mill comes with an optional CVT.
Currently, the Nissan Magnite’s XV trim prices start at Rs 7.62 lakh (ex-showroom). Expect the Red Edition to be priced at a slight premium over their standard counterparts. The Magnite takes on a host of sub-4 metre SUVs including the Renault Kiger, Kia Sonet, Tata Punch, the Toyota Urban Cruiser as well as the recently launched 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
