Ola Electric Launches The Ola S1 X (4kWh) At Rs 1.09 Lakh

Ola Electric has just launched a new variant of the S1 X with a larger battery pack, called the Ola S1 X (4kWh) at Rs 1,09,999 (ex-showroom including FAME 2 subsidy). This makes the scooter the fourth offering in the S1 X lineup along with the S1 X (3kWh), S1 X (2kWh) and the S1 X+ (3kWh). 

As the name suggests, the new electric scooter gets a 4kWh capacity battery and an IDC claimed range of 190km. Comparatively, the top-end sub-variant of the S1 X lineup, the S1 X+ gets a 3kWh capacity battery pack and an IDC claimed range of 151km. It comes equipped with the same 6kW motor as that of the S1 X+, delivering the same top speed of 90kmph and a 0-40kmph acceleration time of 3.3 seconds. Features-wise, it gets a 4.3-inch LCD instrument console and three riding modes: Eco, Normal and Sports. The deliveries for the scooter will start from April 2024. The deliveries for the S1 X (3kWh) and S1 X (2kWh) will also start at the same time. 

Ola Electric have also made three more announcements, the first being that the EV maker is expanding their service network from 400 service centres currently to 600 by April 2024. The second announcement was that they are expanding their charging network across the country. Currently, the manufacturer has 1,000 charging points spread across India and have claimed by the next quarter (i.e. June 2024), that number will increase to 10,000. The charging points will be equipped with 3kW fast chargers that provide 50km range in 23 minutes. A portable fast charger is also available for purchase at a price tag of Rs 29,999 and Ola Electric will provide the service of installing at their customer’s houses. 

The final announcement from the EV maker was that they are offering a battery warranty package of 8 years or 80,000km for their entire lineup as standard. Additional extended warranty packages of up to 1,00,000km and 1,25,000km are also available at Rs 4,999 and Rs 12,999 respectively.
