Kia has dropped the Seltos HTK+ diesel-AT variant.
The Carnival loses its base Premium 7-seater trim level.
Prices for the MPV now start at Rs 29.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Korean carmaker Kia has discontinued select variants of the Seltos SUV and Carnival people mover in India. No reasons were given, but we reckon it’s a sales decision based on customer demand.
You could earlier get the Kia Seltos SUV with a diesel engine and automatic gearbox in two variants – the mid-spec HTK+ and top-spec GTX+ trim levels. Now, the gearbox and engine combination will only be available in the top-spec GTX+ and X-Line trims, priced at Rs 17.95 lakh and Rs 18.19 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Here’s a handy table about which trim levels and engine-gearbox combinations are offered on the Seltos:

The Kia Seltos rivals compact SUVs such as the Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and MG Hector in India. In comparison, the Carnival MPV has few rivals and offers more advanced comfort and luxury features than the popular Toyota Innova.
