Apart from its cars, Hyundai has given us another reason to be excited about Auto Expo 2023. The carmaker will bring Bollywood superstar and its brand ambassador Shah Rukh Khan to the show, alongside Spot, the Boston Dynamics robot.

That yellow robot next to King Khan is Spot, a four-legged AI-driven robot built by robotics design company Boston Dynamics. Hyundai acquired the company in 2021, and it seems that the carmaker could employ several Spot robots at its facilities in the future.
If you’re wondering how a robotic ‘dog’ might come handy at a car production facility, check out Spot’s many uses in the video below:
Spot can sit, stand, climb stairs and even keep an eye on other robots in your warehouse. Boston Dynamics’ robots are finding use in various industries, such as power construction, oil and gas, mining and power utilities.
The biggest event to watch out for at Hyundai’s Expo exhibition is the Ioniq 5 EV’s launch. Hyundai will also have the Ioniq 6 electric sedan and Nexo fuel cell SUV on display.
We’ll see a virtual reality display of Hyundai’s SmartSense driver-assistance tech and Digital Car Life advanced connected car technologies. Of course, Spot will be a dynamic display at the event alongside H-MEX, a medical exoskeleton for people living with disabilities.

In addition, the carmaker will showcase its vision for the future of urban transportation with flying-car taxis and Purpose-Built Vehicles (PBVs) which are essentially autonomous taxis.

If you can’t catch the carmaker’s exhibition in person, Hyundai is also bringing the experience to the Metaverse through a virtual representation of its pavilion at Auto Expo 2023.
