Unofficial bookings for the Skoda Kylaq are open ahead of the December 2 launch.
It was revealed earlier, with a starting price tag of Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
Resembles its elder sibling, the Kushaq from the exterior as well as in the interior.
Gets a 10-inch infotainment system, powered and ventilated seats and automatic climate control.
Will be offered only with a 115 PS/ 178 Nm 1-litre turbo-petrol with manual and automatic transmission choices.
Skoda has stepped into the subcompact SUV space, with the introduction of the Kylaq. While its full pricing is yet to be revealed, some dealerships across the nation are already accepting bookings for the Kylaq unofficially. Deliveries for the Kylaq will begin from January 27 of next year, and here's a brief overview of it.
Visually, the Skoda Kylaq looks like a smaller version of the Kushaq, and is built on the same platform as its larger sibling. Upfront, it features a split LED headlight setup with the traditional butterfly grille seen with other Skoda models. The chunky side body cladding gives it a rugged appearance, while the 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels give it a nice stance. At the rear, it boasts wraparound tail lights, and the silver-finished skid plates further enhance its muscular stance.
The cabin layout of the Kylaq resembles that of the Kushaq, but with a different black and grey interior color scheme. Premium touches include leatherette seat upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and contrasting silver elements throughout. There is also an option for a single-pane sunroof in higher-specced variants.
As for the features, the Kylaq comes equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a 8-inch digital driver’s display, automatic climate control, powered and ventilated front-row seats, ambient lighting and keyless entry with push button start/stop.

On the safety front, it gets six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, and a reverse parking camera with sensors.
Skoda will offer the Kylaq with a single 1-litre turbo-petrol engine option that generates 115 PS and 178 Nm. You can have it with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque-convertor automatic gearbox.
The Kylaq starts from Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), however, its full prices will be announced on December 2, 2024. Upon launch, the Kylaq will lock horns with the Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue and the Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
