The Skoda Kylaq has already become a notable contender in the sub-compact SUV segment. And full variant-wise prices for the subcompact SUV were out on December 2nd. The Kylaq debuted Skoda’s new Modern Solid design language in India and stands out with 18-inch alloy wheels, split LED projector headlights and a silhouette similar to the Kushaq. The 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the 6-way powered and ventilated front seats add a touch of luxury and convenience. It also offers wireless phone charging, a cooled glovebox, and an electric sunroof. The SUV is loaded with over 25 safety features, including six airbags, ESP, multi-collision braking, and a rear parking camera, ensuring a secure driving experience.
Under the hood, the Skoda Kylaq is powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that generates 115 PS and 178 Nm of torque. It’s available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The SUV boasts a spacious 446-litre boot that can be expanded to 1,265 litres when the rear seats are folded, making it perfect for long drives and weekend getaways. The Kylaq competes with the Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet or Syros, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
