The Tata Altroz Racer, the sportier iteration of the Altroz, will debut on our shores on June 7, 2024. The Altroz Racer features a sporty exterior with a black roof and white stripes, which makes the hatchback look sportier and more aggressive than the standard version of the Altroz. Let’s take a look at what the colour options are:
An Atomic Orange colour with a black roof makes the Altroz Racer look really sporty. It’s a colour which will surely catch attention on the roads.
The Avenue White colour accentuates the design of the Altroz Racer and acts as a great contrast to the black roof.
A Pure Grey colour which brings the stealth factor to the sporty Altroz Racer.
The standard Altroz is available in 5 monotone colours: Downtown Red, Opera Blue, Cosmo Dark (Black), Arcade Grey and Avenue White. We feel red and black would also have been great additions to the Altroz Racer’s palette.
The Altroz Racer will be available in three variants: R1, R2 and R3. You can head over to our story to know more about these variants and the features they come with.
The Altroz Racer will bring in new features to the table, including a heads-up display, ventilated seats, a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital driver’s display, a 360-degree camera and 6 airbags as standard. Other features include automatic climate control, connected car tech, sunroof, wireless phone charger, and a Harman Kardon sound system.
In terms of safety, you get rain-sensing wipers, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and rear parking sensors.
The Altroz Racer will be powered by the Nexon’s 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, which produces 120PS and 170Nm. The sole transmission option is a 6-speed manual.
Given the addition of new features and a more powerful engine, we expect the Altroz Racer to command a premium over the standard Altroz, which is priced from Rs 6.64 lakh to Rs 10.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Its only direct rival is the Hyundai i20 N Line, but it also serves as a sportier alternative to the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Toyota Glanza.
