Tata Curvv: Variant-wise Features Explained

Tata Motors has finally revealed the Curvv in its full glory. The Indian automaker is set to launch the SUV coupe on September 2, 2024, and will officially commence its bookings from August 12. It is offered in eight broad trims: Smart, Pure +, Pure + S, Creative, Creative S, Creative + S, Accomplished S, and Accomplished + A.

Tata Curvv Smart Variant

Engine Options: 

• 120 PS/170 Nm 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 6-speed manual transmission 

• 118 PS/260 Nm 1.5-litre diesel engine with 6-speed manual transmission

Starting with the base Smart variant of the Tata Curvv, you'll find:

The base Smart variant can be opted with either the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine or the 1.5-litre diesel unit. Both options are paired only with a 6-speed manual transmission. As a base variant, it comes with 16-inch steel wheels and lacks an infotainment system, but it does include LED headlights, a 4-inch digital instrument cluster, and 6 airbags.

Tata Curvv Pure + Variant

Engine Options: 

• 120 PS/170 Nm 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission 

• 118 PS/260 Nm 1.5-litre diesel engine with 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission

In addition to the Smart variant, Pure + variant gets:

Along with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, the one-above base Pure + variant features additional equipment such as type-A and type-C USB charging ports, a reverse parking camera, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. You also have the option to configure the Pure + variant with automatic transmission.

Tata Curvv Pure + S Variant

Engine Options: 

• 120 PS/170 Nm 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission 

• 118 PS/260 Nm 1.5-litre diesel engine with 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission

Here’s what Pure + S variant gets in addition to Pure + variant:

The Pure + variant further extends to the Pure + S, where you get a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, 17-inch steel wheels, and rain-sensing wipers. Engine and transmission options remain similar to the Pure + variant.

Tata Curvv Creative Variant

Engine Options: 

• 120 PS/170 Nm 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission 

• 118 PS/260 Nm 1.5-litre diesel engine with 6-speed manual 

Creative variant offers below listed features in addition to Pure + variant

The mid-spec Creative variant comes equipped with a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless connectivity for Android Auto/Apple CarPlay. On top of that, you get a better-sounding 8-speaker audio system, keyless entry, and automatic climate control for added convenience.

Tata Curvv Creative S Variant

Engine Options: 

• 120 PS/170 Nm 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission 

• 125 PS/ 225 Nm 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine with 6-speed manual

• 118 PS/260 Nm 1.5-litre diesel engine with 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission

Here’s what Creative S variant gets over the Creative variant

The Creative S variant is your entry point to configure the Curvv with the turbo-petrol engine. However, the transmission choice is limited to a 6-speed manual for this powertrain. Besides a panoramic sunroof, the Creative S variant offers a similar feature set to the Creative variant.

Tata Curvv Creative + S Variant

Engine Options: 

• 120 PS/170 Nm 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission 

• 125 PS/ 225 Nm 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine with 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission

Here’s what you will get with the Creative + S variant over Creative S variant

The Creative + S variant not only offers an additional transmission choice for the turbo-petrol unit but also comes loaded with premium exterior cues and features. These include 18-inch alloy wheels, connected tail lamps, a digital driver's display, and a 360-degree camera system for enhanced safety.

Tata Curvv Accomplished S Variant

Engine Options: 

• 120 PS/170 Nm 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission 

• 125 PS/ 225 Nm 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine with 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission

• 118 PS/260 Nm 1.5-litre diesel engine with 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission

Over the Creative + S variant, Accomplished S variant features:

The one-below top Accomplished S variant boasts additional niceties such as leatherette seat upholstery, powered and ventilated seats, and JBL-tuned sound system. Like the Creative + S variant, the Accomplished S offers all engine options with all transmission choices available for the Curvv.

Tata Curvv Accomplished + A Variant

Engine Options: 

• 125 PS/ 225 Nm 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine with 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission

• 118 PS/260 Nm 1.5-litre diesel engine with 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission

Here’s what Accomplished + A variant gets over Accomplished S variant

The top-spec Accomplished + A variant comes with all the bells and whistles. In addition to the features mentioned above, it includes a powered tailgate with gesture control, a larger 12.3-inch infotainment system, and Level-2 ADAS with features such as adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, and high beam assist. Do note that the Accomplished + A variant cannot be configured with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine.
