The Tata Nexon has received a new mid-spec variant, the XM+(S), which makes features such as the Harman touchscreen more affordable. It gets all the equipment found in the lower-spec XM(S) trim level and select features from the higher XZ+ trim level.
The Nexon XM+(S) costs between Rs 9.75 lakh and Rs 11.7 lakh (ex-showroom) depending on the engine and gearbox combination. Its variant-wise prices are given below, alongside a comparison with the lower XM(S) trim level.

You pay a premium of Rs 55,000 to get the XM+(S) over the XM(S) variant. Similarly, the leap to the next trim level, the XZ+, costs another Rs 55,000. The XZ+ is priced between Rs 10.3 lakh and Rs 12.25 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Nexon XM+(S) inherits the entire features list of the XM(S), which includes a digitised driver’s display, drive modes, electric sunroof, auto headlamps, rain sensing wipers and steering mounted audio controls. In addition, it gets a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, rear AC vents, 12V rear power socket, 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels (optional), cooled glove box and a shark fin antenna.

Standard safety features on the new XM+(S) variant include dual airbags, ABS, stability control (ESP), traction control, roll-over mitigation, rear parking sensors and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
It misses out on more premium features from the XZ+ variant such as an 8-speaker sound system (a 4-speaker setup is present), automatic climate control, push button start, rear windshield defogger and front fog lamps with cornering function.

The Tata Nexon XM+(S) sits in the wide price gap between the XM(S) and XZ+ trim levels. It gets most of the features you need in a subcompact SUV, alongside some premium equipment such as a sunroof and premium touchscreen head unit.
