The next new launch brewing from Tata Motors is the Kaziranga Edition for its SUV lineup, which pays homage to the one-horned Indian rhinoceros. Now, a teaser from the homegrown carmaker gives us a good look at the Punch Kaziranga Edition in real-life images.
The special edition micro SUV is finished in a gold colour that mimics the savannah grass found in the expanse at the Kaziranga National Park in Assam. The blacked-out wheels and dechromed look add a sporty look to the overall theme. Also, the front fenders feature a badge that pays homage to the endangered one-horned rhinoceros.

Inside, the white centre trim on the dashboard has been replaced by a gold finish. Also, the seats now feature a new black/gold upholstery while the ‘Kaziranga’ branding can be seen on the door sills. Since Tata’s special editions are based on top-spec variants, the Punch Kaziranga should get all the bells and whistles.
Notable features in the Punch include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected car tech, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a semi-digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, a Harman sound system, and auto headlamps and wipers.
Passenger safety is taken care of by dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors with camera, and a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP.

The Punch Kaziranga Edition will be powered by the same 86PS 1.2-litre petrol engine, paired with a 5-speed manual and optional 5-speed AMT.
The Kaziranga Edition will command a few extra grand over the standard top-spec Punch that is priced at Rs 8.69 lakh for MT and Rs 9.30 lakh for AMT. Also, the Harrier, Nexon, and Safari will get this special edition with similar updates. Stay tuned.
